Bottle Green is the autumn-into-winter colourway in the Mr Winston range — the one customers reach for when the rotation needs a moodier neutral than grey but not as committed as black.
The Specific Shade of Green
Bottle Green sits in the deep forest range — darker than emerald, warmer than navy-green, more saturated than olive. The closest reference points: classic British racing green, an old wine bottle, the deep green on vintage chesterfield leather. Indoors it can read almost black-green; in direct daylight the green pulls out clearly.
What it isn’t: lime, mint, sage, olive, hunter, or kelly green. Mr Winston’s other green colourways (Apple Puff Hoodie, Deep Sage Puff Hoodie) cover the brighter and softer ends of the green spectrum respectively.
What Bottle Green Pulls Off
Deep saturated greens have a specific styling reputation — they read more sophisticated than primary colours, more interesting than greys, and they pair with ranges that bright greens can’t. Bottle Green specifically works because it sits dark enough to function as a neutral while still bringing colour into an outfit.
Pairs cleanly with:
- Cream, ivory, off-white (warmer than pure white)
- Tan, camel, caramel, rust
- Mid-wash and dark-wash denim
- Brown leather (boots, bags, belts)
- Gold jewelry (cooler than silver against this shade)
Doesn’t work with:
Pure black bottoms (reads as costume), bright pastels (clashes), navy (muddies both colours), silver jewelry against the warm-toned green.
Green hoodies in the range:
Three different greens for three different aesthetic lanes. The Deep Sage Puff Hoodie is the muted neutral-leaning option. This Bottle Green Puff Hoodie is the moody saturated forest green. The Apple Puff Hoodie is the bold chartreuse statement piece. Most customers own one, not all three.

Why This Colourway Sells Out Faster
Bottle Green is one of the more limited drops in the Mr Winston Puff range. Production runs are smaller than the standard greys and blacks, and restocks come through less predictably from our supply network. Customers who’ve had this on a wishlist for months and finally see it back in stock typically buy within hours of restock notification.
Practical translation: if your size is in stock and you want it, place the order. Unlike the standard greys (which restock every 4-6 weeks), Bottle Green can disappear for 2-3 months between cycles.
Bottle Green FAQ
Will Bottle Green fade to a dull olive over time?
The main risk is sun exposure. Cotton dyes lose saturation faster from UV than from washing. If you frequently dry the hoodie outside in direct sun, expect the green to lose its richness over 6-12 months. Cold wash inside-out and indoor air-drying preserve the depth significantly longer — easily 2+ years before noticeable fade.
Is Bottle Green dark enough to function as evening wear?
It can — paired with black bottoms and minimal accessories, the deep green reads sophisticated rather than casual. The hoodie cut keeps it firmly streetwear though; this isn’t a substitute for a structured top. For dinner-out moments where you want streetwear that doesn’t read sloppy, Bottle Green over dark jeans is one of the strongest combinations in the range.
How does Bottle Green compare to Deep Sage Puff Hoodie?
Two completely different shades. Deep Sage is a soft, dusty muted green — light enough to read like a neutral. Bottle Green is dark, saturated, and visually heavy. Sage pairs with pastels and cream; Bottle Green pairs with deeper tones (camel, brown, dark denim). Pick based on which side of the green spectrum your existing wardrobe leans toward.
Will the cream chest print yellow over time?
The puff plastisol print holds its colour well — what causes “yellowing” on white/cream prints is usually deodorant residue or sun exposure. Wipe sweat marks away promptly (especially under the arms where the print sits close to skin), and the cream stays cream for years. Bleaching agents will damage it; avoid stain-removal products on the print directly.
What size in Bottle Green compared to other Mr Winston hoodies?
Same sizing as every other standard-cut Puff Hoodie in the range. If you’ve ordered a Mr Winston hoodie before, take the same size. If this is your first one, take your usual size for relaxed oversized; size down for fitted, size up for genuinely huge. Boyfriend-cut hoodies (Cloud Grey, Baby Blueberry) run wider — different cut entirely.
