Grey Marle FAQ
Why is this $40 more than Standard Grey when both are grey?
Marle yarn costs more to produce than flat-dyed yarn. The two-tone twist process requires separately-dyed fibres being twisted together before weaving — that’s an extra production step. Flat-dyed yarn (Standard Grey) is cheaper to make. Both end up as the same fleece weight, but Grey Marle’s construction adds material cost that’s reflected in the price.
Will the marle texture wash out and become flat grey?
Not if treated correctly. The marle texture comes from the yarn structure itself, which doesn’t change with washing. What CAN ruin marle: high-heat washing (over 40°C), tumble drying on high heat, or aggressive bleach. Cold wash + air dry preserves the texture indefinitely. Pieces from earlier supply cycles are still showing crisp marle texture after 2+ years of regular wear.
Does Grey Marle pair with denim?
Cleaner than almost any other Puff Hoodie colourway. Grey Marle’s lighter heathered tone works with every denim wash from light blue to dark indigo to black. Where solid greys can sometimes look too matchy with grey-wash denim, the marle texture provides enough contrast that the outfit reads layered rather than monochromatic.
Is the print on Grey Marle different from Standard Grey?
Same print, slightly different visual weight. Because Grey Marle is lighter overall, the white chest puff print reads slightly less contrasty than it does on Standard Grey.
